I needed a back for the gray top I haven't quite finished  . I saw this backing fabric in Keepsake Quilting--LOVED it--and then saw it in one of the Mennonite shops I love. I didn't buy it until I had a top, so today was the day. School starts Tuesday, so I needed to get it now. Okay--I wanted to get it now.
All the rest are fabric remnants from two shops that were 30% off!! The batiks were $4.70 a yard. There are 2.5 yards of two of them. :D I steered away from blues and greens--I have plenty. I need a bright orange and more browns, no one had bright orange. I need lights--got some of those. Two I got are a gray blue.
I know it's a lot, but man, oh man, I had several bolts of the new Moda Summer's End out--had decided on four of them, and put them all back. Self-control. (darn it) :|

Some Moda Marbles, some florals for the next log cabin blocks, batiks!

luvToQuilt--my goal is to use up lots before buying. I wanted to only buy what I needed to finish a project. but it's been too hot to sew much and school starts next week. And I didn't spend a dime on me this summer--we had some big vet bills and a wedding--but I didn't get one thing for back to school--AND I was paid for a quilt today. Soooo, I rationalized all that through and shopped.
Ditter--I wish. We are just ending four days in the 90s--and I can not get the gumption up to sew. Seems all I do is keep all these animals content. Sigh.... School starts Tuesday--so I'm hoping to get the gray quilt together at least. I have everything cut out for another...

Hey BArnBum, I'll go shopping with you any time.
Why not just buy it. It's so hard to have self control when it come to fabric. If I can I'll get at least a yard and firgue out what I'm doing with it later.
Have a Happy and Safe Labor Day :
