There is a thread in the Main section about quilt backs. How much to pay for fabric, etc. I want to see some imaginative backs. Mine are pretty much just some fabric that I think will match pretty well.

Let me see your backs.

Here is one of my latest. I usually use one piece that "sorta" matches the front. But I wanted this one to be a little more special.

My first pieced back.

Had leftover blocks so decided to piece the back.

The center of my pieced back.

I embroidered the quilt label in the center on my embroidery machine.

Awesome!

I'm about to piece my first backing today, for a quilt I've made. I usually use one piece of fabric too, but for this one I'm using the left over fabric from the front, and a matching plain cotton, and will piece a back.

Love this topic. I have never pieced a back, always used muslin, so this is something I want to try.

This is the coolest back I have made so far. The cherry on the back is the one from the front blocks, but I made it HUGE. This quilt is queen size.

(And, for the folks that have seen it while it was in progress, no, it's not quilted yet.)

Here is one I did using the leftovers from the blocks on the front.

This is a back that was provided by the customer. She used a flannel sheet.
