OMGsh. I hope I didn't get any "drool" all over your gorgeous quilt. I've never made an Irish Chain. Looks complicated. And all of your beautiful quilting...to die for.

It's not complicated at all! One of my first quilts (many years ago) was a double Irish Chain. There are 2 different blocks. One is just squares all the same size, the other has a larger square in the middle and depending on the pattern has squares and/or rectangles around it. It's just a matter of color placement. I think Elenor Burns has a Quilt in a Day book with that pattern. :)

It's only the quilting part that is complicated (at least for me)! :wink:

Oh KAtier, It would be very complicated for me. I'm a ditcher or cross-hatcher on a domestic machine -- that's all. I can only dream of doing such lovely stitching. I will look up Eleanor's Irish Chain. Thanks.
