I am currently working on a baby quilt as a gift to a friend who is expecting a new grandson in November.
It is still very much in progress -
Hubby commented, after I solicited his opinion, that it really doesn't look like a baby quilt.
His intentions were not to be mean and I really do appreciate his opinion. So now I am thinking maybe this should become a UFO for a while and I will find some more baby like material to start another quilt.
I do want to stress I love allllllll things Texas, and this little guy is going to be born in the Cowboy Capitol of the World... that is where the buckaroos came into play... May I have your opinions please????

Thanks,
Lori

I think it's very appropriate for a baby boy in Texas.

Don't see a problem with giving this to a baby boy. It will stay age appropriate a lot longer than the traditional "baby" quilt.

I think that it is great for a baby born in Texas. I'm sure that he will love it when he gets older.

Born and raised in Texas. It's perfect. Photos don't show the quilts in 3d. When dad see's how snugly it is when you finish, he will change his mind.

It is awesome for a baby boy and he will be able to use it for a lap quilt and watch his favorite movies even when he is 12. Very cute!!!!! What are you using for backing? I picture red bandana fabric or some thing.

I think it is appropriate because this type of quilt will be used long after the baby and toddler years.
