Default Ideas needed re sashing color

I want to add sashings and MAYBE cornerstones to these sampler blocks.
I am having trouble deciding the color for the sashings.
I would appreciate any help you can give me.
I don't have access to my stash.
I want to get shopping for the sashing fabric, so that I can get started putting my blocks together.

Really pretty blocks! My first reaction was solid black but I am having a black moment right now so that might not be the right choice. I think I would take them with and audition some fabrics to see what sets them off best. Be sure to let us see what you come up with!

I agree-solid black would be my choice.

Beautiful blocks! I'd say solid black for the sashing. Really make things pop.

I'd say Black sashing. not sure if I would add cornerstones but you could do them in white if you decide to.

Gorgeous blocks!!! How about black....narrow green(1/2 in finished)....black for the borders. Can't wait to see it finished!

If you use black make sure it is solid and won't appear to be part of the black in the block. Love the colors.

I was thinking black but thought it would be too much black and would make the patterns.......especially those with a lot of black on the outside edges.... 'disappear'.
As Aunt Janey said, I definitely would have to use a solid black but I'm still concerned that the black will blend into the block too much.

I think a soft blue or soft green would look really nice and not detract from the black in the blocks.
