Default Irish Quilt Christmas

This was a UFO I started a long time ago, it was hand applique' and hand quilted, it just needed the binding, unfortunately I made it for a queen size bed and I now have a king size, I did not wanted to lose my momentum so I finished as is. It will go in my guest room. Thanks for looking.

Great quilt! You could remove the binding, add another large border (maybe red) in QAYG fashion and then quilt and bind the new boder.

lovely quilt! I recently read of a great solution to the size problem. The quilter made an "under-quilt"; a solid white quilt that fits her bed, using just the unpieced front, back and batting, similar to a whole cloth quilt. She matched the white fabic to the pieced quilt and added quilting to match the quilting on the too small quilt. Then she simply puts the quilt like yours on top and the under-quilt serves basically the same purpose as a dust ruffle and allows her to use any quilt she wants on top.
