I had converted an old table to an ironing table but I found it too low to iron and I'm short  I bought some bed risers and now its hip hight - perfect for pressing :-P :-P

I also bought some foam ( :?: ) mats which I placed in front of my ironing table and cutting table - Great for standing :P

Neat, I did the same thing to a small folding table and have gotten a lot of use out of it....:)

Thanks for the riser idea! I just knew something was out there to use! I want to raise a table for cutting and also make a pressing board to put on top.

I also did the same thing to a folding table...really helped!! Now I just need to get my hands on one of those foam mats or two!
