Just finished a lap quilt using the herringbone, or French Braid, pattern. My third - the 2 daughters and I all have them and I can use all those pesky scraps for something else!

Now I just have to wait for it to cool off enough to use it.

It's not as overly bright as the photo shows, is a bit more restrained. But I love all the different fabrics.

Oh, I like that! I particularly like the lighter sashing and border. Very pretty.

I really like that! I agree that the light sashings & border look nice with all of the colors in the braids.

Thanks to all who said they liked the like light colored sashing - the first one I made I used an almost mustard tiny flower print and it was way too bright.
