It took me a bit to get it, and then I jumped on board, I am in group 5 and have yet to start anything, I will be any minute though, I am sure, lol,

There are other swaps and stuff going on if you want to look into getting into them, one of the more popular ones is the doll quilt swap, which the next one now is a Nov/Dec one.

Well, at first I was going to protest and say it needs to come to me, but then I realized that Elle is so far out of my league that it would be blasphemy! If I tried for 100 years I couldn't match her skill. BUT I did do a fused applique with the help of her tute! Thank you very much Elle!
Stop it I am not out of your league, as I have been sewing for nearly a 100 yrs I think I have a head start on most people here.

I wonder what she would do if she ended up with all of them?

Nope this time I hand stitched, my bestest hand stitching it was too. Its that thread that changes colour every few inches, I love it.

It's done! My centre is finished! As I hoped, it didn't take all that long once I finally had the time to sit down and sew.

It's small - 12.5" square - or actually closer to 12.25 - sorry about that! I was very surprised when I put my 12.5" ruler on it to check, because all the papers matched up perfectly, so I can't figure out where I lost 1/4 inch. It's my first try at foundation paper-piecing, though, so maybe I missed something somewhere.

I'm thinking that I will leave it up to Colletta as to whether to set it on pointe or not. I think it would look good either way, what do the rest of you think?

Now to carefully get all the paper backing off without ruining anything, and to make a label to send along with it.
