Thumbs up It's Almost Finished!!!

I have been struggling with this quilt for my grandson for 4 years. It was a Jinny Beyer kit. It was supposed to be for his HS graduation. It will be done by the time he graduates from Fireman's college in May. The darker borders around the squares are constructed of strips 3/4", 7/8" and 1 1/4" wide and 2" - 4" long. If you can zoom in to the picture we have just finished quilting it and taken it off the long arm. It is 88" x 108". The binding will be the purple that is in the strips around the squares. Yay!!!

Beautiful quilt. The colors and pattern are so nicely balanced. The varied widths of segments in the borders around the square really give dimensional depth to the blocks. I know it will be appreciated by your grandson.
