Default Every home should have a cat

Here's what I've been working on....One of my best friends is a Katrina survivor and they are finally in a nice warm home after living in various temporary and makeshift places. As a housewarming gift, I made her this quilt. All of the kitties are cat prints and I dyed the rest of the material myself. She loves cats, has several and always admires the cat quilts when we go to Paducah to the show...so this is her very own cat quilt (it was a total surprise for her...she had no idea) The title, "Every home should have a cat" is an old Italian proverb and suits it and her perfectly.

Well done! Love all the kitty prints. I have 2 cats, and they are always helping me with my quilting or should I say "inspecting"!

You made a beautiful quilt for your friend. I love the Italian cat saying. May your friend enjoy this quilt without ever having to go through a katrina type event again. I am glad she is settled. I has been 7 1/2 yrs since Katrina and it is easy for those of us not effected to forget that it takes truely years for many to get their lifes back.
