Default I've learned so much...

This is the first quilt I ever pieced. I started it several years ago and due to one issue after another never finished it. This weekend I pulled it out and decided wonky or not, points or no points I was going to quilt it and it would be done. Most of the points disappear into the seams, as I tried to machine quilt I realized how wavy it is throughout. But it is finally done. To be honest, I actually like it flaws and all. I can just picture taking my granddaughter to the park and spreading this out for a picnic. This quilt was before I had ever heard of scant 1/4 seam and all the pieces were cut with a scissors, not a rotary cutter.

it turned out beautifully! great that you pulled it out and decided to finish it-
you know---the (little things) that you think are wrong---are really seldom apparent to anyone else- no one knows you did not mean for something to be exactly like it is- so don't beat yourself up- it is a beautiful quilt and a very good job done!

It's very cute. I like the pattern and the colors. Good for you for finishing it. Do you remember the name of the pattern?

The pattern is Starring Poppies from McCalls Quilting book "Color me Happy".

Nothing like picking a super hard pattern for a first quilt. And scissors cut. It turned out beautifully. We learn from every quilt even after the first 100. I'm so glad you finished.

I don't know if I would put that one on the ground or not. It is too pretty.
