Default Izabella's Very First Mini Doll Quilt

Well everyone my 6 year old Izabella has finally made her very first quilting piece all by herself! I was in my sewing room working on my FWPC block and she asked if she could sew something. I brought out my bin of 3.5" squares, showed her how to put right sides together and how to sew them and away she went. She pressed every two and then joined. She then did a little quilting of the top to the batting, then sewed the backing to the front and flipped it. For her very first one and for her being 6 I think it is just beautiful. I am very proud of her and she loved doing it...finally my little quilter is born!!
Hugs
April

Congratulations Izabella!

Watch out Mom ... she'll be stealing your stash from you!
On the other hand ... that's one sure fire way to get that stash sorted, folded and re-stashed quickly!!
(pay her in fabric for the child labour!!!)

Bravo. She has your amazing talent. Yes indeed. Give her a round of applause for me, I'll be calling her soon for quilting questions as I am just starting to learn myself.
