My friend called yesterday and asked me to come over today and bring a vehicle to haul a bunch of stuff. She is recently divorced and was getting her stuff out of the house. She has a much smaller house and not as much room for all of her sewing supplies. So she chose to give the rest to me! Each one of these drawers is full of fabric - all organized by color. Plus several bolts of solids and 3 rolls of backing fabric. She would not let me pay her for it. She just said that she knew it would be put to good use at my house - and she knew where she could come if she needed some for a project. What an awesome friend! It feels like Christmas at my house!

Do you need some help to play with it?

Great friend! I need to get me one of those. Congratulations.

Well, you are both lucky to have each other for friends. I had to leave an abusive marriage, and leave my many years of quilt fabric collections, as I had no-one to come collect it. I would have much preferred having a friend like you come and collect my goodies, and know that they were appreciated, and not destroyed.
Congrats to you on the bounty, and I wish her the best of luck.

WOW! Wish I had friends like that!

You should make her a quilt from the stash.

How so very great of your friend!! Enjoy it! Enjoy it! It was like Xmas the other day for me too when I found long forgotten about fabrics packed away! :D :D

I went to a quilt show this morning. My husband just now walked in, saw the piles and said, "Did you buy all of that today?" There was definitely a look of relief on his face when I told him where it came from. Very funny!!!
