Default January place mat of the month

Hi Everyone... Happy New Year.
I finally got these done this past weekend and in the mail this morning. Being sick last month sure put me behind...and i haven't even begun to catch up on all the goings on on the Board. Starting on the February and March place mats tonight as i'm having thumb surgery in two weeks and will be in a cast for a while. Thanks for looking ... and for sharing the progress of this project with me.

Very cute. Are you just making these up or getting them from a set of patterns? They are so cute.

They are just lovely. I would not like to put a plate on them and cover them up. I look forward to seeing what you come up with for each month.

Good luck with your surgery.

Totally adorable! Echoing the question, is there a pattern?
Good luck with your surgery!

Is your surgery for basal thumb arthritis? I had that surgery last Monday. Still on the pain meds so a little woozy, but I'm going to try to sew some strip blocks (on muslin foundation) today or tomorrow. Have to finish the bills and probably take a nap first.

i love your placemats, especially the kitty!
