Hi Everyone,

I recently ordered Anita Grossman Solomon's book "Rotary Cutting Revolution" after reading about it and her quilts in a previous issue of Quiltmaker magazine.

I'm having SO much fun with her "No Waste Windmill" pattern! Cutting out 56 blocks 8 at a time was a breeze; only two cuts per stack! It took me longer to settle on a pattern for all these Windmill blocks, lol.

Piecing is a breeze, too. No hassle, practically no pinning, just have to watch my patch orientation. It's going pretty quickly, too. I have two rows completely done and working on a third.

I'm also very pleased with these batiks from connectingthreads.com. They washed up super nice and are a joy to work with. Again, no hassles there, either. Wow. How fun to finally work on a project with no headaches!

This quilt is going to be for our 8th grandchild. When our DIL was talking about how active this little guy is in her tummy, I got the inspiration for this windmill pattern. Thanks, Anita!

"Life's a Breeze" for upcoming grandson

Thanks, everyone. I'm having so much fun with this. To think I originally bought the fabs for a "Margo Bag", lol. Oh well, babies take precedence over bags, right?

Anita Soloman Grossman is a terrific woman, she has the best ideas for time saving when quilting. Your quilt is so lovely, I may have to buy her book-great colors...much better than a bag!

I've got this book too. It's loads of fun, my favorite is the arrowhead block,(I think that's what it was called) It was the one featured in the magazine.
