I decided to enter one of my quilts in our Butte County Fair this month. First time for everything. To my friends that I met in Sisters Oregon... this is the quilt I was telling you about. Thank you to those who helped me figure out how to make the sleeve... another first. I made it as a surprise for one of my friends and then had to ask for it back so I could enter it into the fair. She only got to keep it for one week (and not use it).... she'll get to use it at the end of the month.

Thank you. The scallop was another first for me. I bought the ruler and it went pretty smooth. This is my third 1600 quilt, the way on the internet is sewn on the diagonal but I like the extra fabric with the straight sew. They go together extra fast and fun.

Using that border makes a simple quilt look g-r-e-a-t.

Great job, so pretty. The border really sets it off. I have a ruler too and used it on a baby blanket and made it out of fleece. Cut slits around the border and weaved satin ribbon thru it. Came out nice.
