Default Jelly Roll - Welcome Spring

I saw this pattern several months ago and loved it. Being on the receiving end of approximately half a jelly roll, I knew exactly how I was going to use it. My modifications were to add some strips on the back and instead of straight stitch quilting, I used a decorative serpentine stitch on my machine. Again, the pretty outdoor pictures don't show the quilt as well but I've included a couple of closeups that I think highlight the quilting stitch - one I like very much.

How pretty and springlike! The serpentine stitch suits the pattern perfectly.

Thank you so much for posting this! When Fabric Depot sent out a sales promotion of 30% off I bought a jelly roll in pastel batiks - no idea of what I was going to do with it. Now, thank to you I can make two baby girl shower gifts in the "modern" style of quilting. High five to you!

What a fun quilt. Love the change from the straight stitch as well.

Your quilting really adds movement to your quilt -- I normally don't care for more modern quilts, but I LOVE yours! You've inspired me to try one myself....thanks for sharing.
