Default Jewel Box Work in Progress

I took a quilting class with my niece in February and here we are in October. We both made queen-size jewel box quilts. She has more free time than I do so hers is now finished and ready to be given to her parents when she visits them in Holland in December. I'm still quilting mine, when I'm not working or taking care of DGD. I was waiting until it is finished to post a picture but ... sigh ... looks like that's still quite a long ways off, lol.

Nice quilt!!! I made one of these as a Mystery Quilt with some friends but never put a border on it. I like your piano key border very much. It picks up on the colors of all the blocks. Looks like you are hand quilting this? Good for you. Don't be in a rush or worry about it taking time because when you are finished, you will have a most beautiful quilt. I also love how you are quilting it. I must remember this for when I finally quilt mine. Did I mention that you did a wonderful job on this, both piecing and quilting? Well, you did!!!

Beautiful quilt. I am not very good at hand quilting. I admire anyone who hand quilts.

Love the colors you chose and your quilting is beautiful. I have hand quilted only wall hangings and I just don't have the patience. Too many next projects circling around in my head once the piecing is done. LOL
