I started on it late December 2013. For 2 months I worked on it 5 days a week for an average of 6 hours a day. I had a huge learning curve to start off with. I had never paper pieced anything. A friend of mine had started her Bali Wedding Star a couple of months earlier and helped me understand the directions. Then I stalled out. I started back last week working a couple of hours a day on it. One of my problems, is that I want my points perfect and all those interesting intersecting squares that are the ends of the B arcs, have to match up accurately.

Thanks to all for the compliments and comments. I agree with all of you, it is the most beautiful thing I've put together and by the time I get it quilted, the most expensive. I learned one thing really quick...when doing paper piecing, it really helps if you use a fabric that doesn't have a right & wrong side. That makes placing the fabric so much easier. Most of mine were in the right category. I used a lot of batiks.
