after i piece these .. should i border the blocks in black?
what would you suggest?

and if i border in black.. then what do i do???

It looks great with black sashing! I really like it!
Get that far and see if it needs an additional colored border or just black.

Love that fabric and what you did with it.

I'm not sure about sashing these beautiful blocks. I kind of like the way each block becomes a surprise as you see it and how they blend but not quite and all the movement is great. I think a very narrow black sashing would be nice and give a little control the movement in this quilt (which I love). Another quilt posted earlier this week with a sashing ? and the idea of grouping 4 blocks together and sashing around them was suggested. I think this same idea would be great here. Just keep it narrow so as not to overpower the blocks!

I know it is a lot of work, but if you could try adjusting the blocks so they butt up right next to each other, a better idea of how they would look without sashing would be a great help in deciding. Right now it looks like white sashing between the blocks.
