but thought I would share this project made jointly by my brother who does woodworking and myself for a dear friend of the family. She loves hummingbirds and has a lot of them come through every year. So I found a pattern that my brother cut out with his scroll saw, I painted the piece and then used some Timtex for stabilizing the fabric to place behind it. I think it turned out okay and am leaving right now to give it to her for her birthday. What do you guys think?

Very nice.

Of course, you could also use the skill saw pattern on stabilized black fabric and raw edge applique it to a nice background.
