This is the first custom type quilt I ever did. Katie May was born on 5 Feb and her dad is my 1SG. Everyone got a kick out of seeing a quilt made in Afghanistan. Its simple and made of my favorite Moda lie called Blush. Of course I labeled it. I felt so professional.

Wow that is so cool!! I never even thought of someone doing that. Of course my hubby was in the military (Marine Corps), so most of the service members I know are men who wouldn't be caught dead sewing. LOL I tip my hat to you for keeping your passion alive as you are stationed in that area of the world.

Cheers!
