Kids' Christmas dragger
Pattern Name: falling charms
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_6AEKTi6r0
Dimensions: 36" X 46"
Fabric source/name: Makower panel, Connecting Threads layer cake
Pieced and quilting by machine, Pellon Quilters Touch Polyester
Several years ago I saw a puppy & kitty quilt online. Saved the pic to my ideas folder. Last year, I found this Makower panel at a thrift shop and knew I had to use it with this pattern and paired it with a CT blenders multicolor layer cake. As I was making it I realized that it was actually the MSQC Falling Charms block. 4 blocks are joined to make a larger block, then sashed. You have to be careful of the color placement on the strips and the orientation of the blocks, but it was way easy. I made one top and decided to give it to my Great Niece for her 2 little girls. Showed it to a friend who told me that I had to make another because the 2 girls would fight over it, so I did. One has a white background and the other has a white with gold swirls. Just meander quilted. Bound one in pink and one in green. Hope they drag them around until they are in tatters.
