That is so pretty!! I've never seen the kimonos done that way before.

I lived in Misawa, Japan for three years. I have a nice collection of oriental fabrics and a few oriental themed quilt books. Now if I can only get in the mood to make something with them!!

I love this! I've seen kimono quilts before, but they haven't been three dimensional. I like this so much more. Thanks so much for posting the photo!

I, too, have seen other kimono quilts but they weren't like this one. I personally LOVE kimono quilts & have always wanted to make one (there are so many gorgeous Asian fabrics out there!) but know I don't have the talent or patience to make something this spectacular! Great job!!!

Opps, just new at this blogging. You can get the pattern from www.quilters.net by Brenda Dean. She is in Australia. The pattern is very small so I had to do my own math and increased it by 1.65% to get this size, just the right size to use up a fat quarter. She used 12 1/2 inch by 3 3/4 inch for the KIMONOS, very small. .

Thank you. It was fun to do. I also made a small threesome wall hanging for my granddaughter.
