King Size Navy and White Quilt Top Ready to Finish for Rachel
#1
It is an expanded version of:

Rachel used to dog sit for us and has raised and trained service dogs. One of "her" dogs came from California to attend the wedding with her owners. The ring bearer was a black lab with his own little tux. So naturally her wedding quilt had to have some sort of dog theme.
The wedding was the end of July so I'd like to get this finished up. Gotta get something picked out for the backing, buy the batting and practice with my new stitch regulator before I tackle this big boy!
I need a little more floor space!
This is the largest I have ever attempted!
Keeping my fingers crossed that I can do this!

The original is 6 blocks by 6 blocks. Mine is 8 block by 8 blocks.
I am a visual person so I printed several copies of the picture. Left one whole and cut the others into the blocks. Then laid the little blocks adding a row all the way around the outside of the original picture and adjusting the sawtooth blocks and the half square triangles to make the pattern repeat. Then I taped it all down and counted up how many of each block to make. I changed fabrics in a few of the half square triangles to the stripes to get a little yellow added in.
