Actually, the one she took was hand pieced and hand quilted by my grandmother (who has passed on). My brother didn't know who made the quilt just remembered it being a wedding gift. When I found out she took it I was not very nice... He did contact her and asked her to put it up for one of the girls to have when they get older. He hated to ask for it back, but he did remind her that our grandmother made it so it should be saved for one of the girls (which he has most of the time even though it's suppose to be 50/50). She said she would and the girls say that the quilt is not being used at their mom's place.

What a wonderful illustration of "one door closing and another opening." The ex-wife got the old quilt and he gets this beautiful new one! It's lovely!

You made a nice quilt for your brother - nice quilting, too. I imagine he's very happy with it. It's such a pleasure to make a quilt for someone who WANTS one! Did he choose the colors? They are perfect for a MAN quilt, but it doesn't scream 'man only' - LOL.
