Default King size U of M quilt for our DGS's wedding gift

This is the biggest quilt I have made so far. It measures 110x120. After I had it long arm quilted I brought it home and washed it. I wash all my quilts once they'er done and before giving them, this way if something is wrong with it I can "deal" with it. After 2 1/2 years I never had a problem, until this one.

It wasn't something I did though, and can't really blame the LAQer, it was the thread, it bled into my yellow and white material. I have quilted many quilts using dark thread with lighter fabrics and never had this happen. Had to wash it 4 or 5 times, lost count, and now it's "better", to where I won't feel as bad when I give it.

Thanks for looking!

Wonderful, I don't think anyone would ever notice that the thread had bled. My nephew in law would love this quilt, big "M' fan. GO BLUE.

Did you let your LAQ know in case she has a 'bad' batch of thread?
The quilt is awesome anyway!

You really need to let the LA know about the thread. I would also find out what brand she used. Pkease let us know. Your quilt does look AWESOME!

Yes, I called right away and had to leave a message, was not wanting it to happen to anyone else's quilt. This was the third quilt she has done for me, she has yet to call me back.
