What a great idea! I can't get enough from doing Passacaglia blocks, so that will be a great option to make more after the quilt is done! How did you piece the background?

I took 2 pieces of typing paper and glued them together and trimmed to 12.5 x 12.5 square, drew the 1/4 seam around the edges. I placed the rosette over the paper making sure all star points were inside the 1/4 inch marks (so none would be cut off). I took a ruler and drew a straight line off each star point to the outside edge. Then traced the edges of the star points. I numbered each piece 1 - 10 cut them out, made sure they were numbered on both sides drew an arrow indicating the outside edges (for no seam allowance) make sure you indicate the side that faces the fabric, use your pieces for normal epp, you will have seam allowence to fold over on every edge except outer edges (you have the seam allowance drawn in already you don't fold it over). I just machine straight sewed the outer border.

Are you going to make an entire quilt of these blocks or is this going to be a wall hanging? Looks great to me.

This one is for the Boom swap. I have started and am half way through the real La Pass quilt so I will finish that one. After that I think I will make a quilt w/ these blocks entirely. It will be my next "hand work" piece.
