I found the lighter purple first then a darker purple for the shading. Black gave the crevices a deeper look and the white just highlights. I loved the look of this quilt had to do it. I would love to see yours.

Wow! Those are awesome! Look extremely labor intensive. I can't get over the 3D effect.

Wow. Oh. Wow wonderful job. I have almost four blocks made ...I i am thinking about stopping at 4. This UFO is on my 2015 list. I am doing green with shades of grey ( but not 50 shades).

Great job, I love 3D looking designs. I didn't notice the mistake until you said something, even knowing where it is, it isn't distracting at all.
