I made this little Lady Bug quilt for my new grand daughter, Joslyn, who was born on July 1st. The pattern is from Cute Quilt Patterns.com and is titled "Lady Bug Landing". The pattern comes as a download and was quite easy to use. I used Sharon Schamber's new method of gluing the applique down with Liquid Stitch and then placed a Teflon* pressing sheet over them before ironing it with a hot iron to dry and seal the glue . I then sewed the edges down by hand with a very tiny blanket stitch using the same colors as the fabric so it wouldn't show too much. I loved this method, there will be no fraying when the quilt is washed. The flowers are 3-D with yo-yo centers. It is hand quilted with lady bugs and butterflies throughout. We are going to WA in a couple of weeks to meet the new baby and will give her the quilt at that time. Joslyn has two older brothers 7 and 3.

    Very cute!

But what are you taking for the older kids? They always need gifts too!

I have all sorts of presents for everyone in the family! What kind of granny would I be if I didn't spoil all of them, lol?? DH says I'm packing too much weight into the 5th wheel!!

An adorable quilt for the little one. I know it will be loved & appreciated. Tell DH to just put on "6th" wheel. :-)
