beautiful! I love your clouds, but what is wool roving exactly? I could use this technique on a quilt I am working on now, if it isn't too difficult!

It's just wool that has been cleaned and carded ready to twist into yarn or use in needle punch or felting. I just ironed it to Misty Fuse to stabilize it and adhere to the background then quilt it carefully.

I cut the trees from batik fabric backed with WonderUnder, then fused to the background and stitched it down with minimal quilting. My machines do not have hopping feet or darning feet (industrial machines) so I use the big heavy walking foot. Makes quilting difficult but can be done.
