I don't think you can really see the colors in this pic, so maybe I can get others that show it off better. It is dark browns, coppers and black with cream in the other half of the logs.

I'd like to thank my Dad for getting me in the picture (not!)

The back is nice too, but have to ask him for more photos.

I really liked making the checkerboard border. So nice when all the fabrics come together and the design just creates itself. Yes, I just made this up as I went along. It was for his birthday last year.

I will try to post more pics soon in this thread.

Hey, I figured out how to add to the original posting! Here is the back of the quilt.

Gorgeous! You too, Wendy! That looks like a hard pattern. I love the browns, copper and black. I've been collecting those colors.

Here is a more detailed pic of the front. Waiting for Dad to send a pic of the back, cause I made it fancy. The focus fabric is trees on a black background. The quilt is sideways in this photo.

Thanks for the compliments!

I MOVED IT TO THE TOP AFTER I FIGURED OUT HOW TO ADD TO THE POST!

Absolutely beautiful (or handsome hahaa) work. Your dad is a lucky man to have such a great daughter :)

Awesome Wendy--you did a great job on your quilt- love the colors.
I'm sure your dad was thrilled that his little girl has so much talent :!: :!:
