Very pretty. You could quilt blowing leaves. Quilt a few leaves and then lots of swirls to mimic the wind blowing the leaves around.

This is very pretty! I love the quilting part. I would SID around all parts of the center block and quilt a leaf similar to the appliques in the center of it. In the ivory colored areas I would do some kind of meandering or stippling to make the leaves stand out more from the background. SID around all of the borders and do a horizontal zig-zag throughout the green inner boarder as a heads up to the jagged leaves and the HST's. Then I'd do a vine with leaves in the outer border. I would use the same fabric as the outer border to bind the quilt. This would look nice on the back of a sofa or chair as well. Great work!

Thank you all for the excellent Ideas. This board is so helpful, I never even thought about quilting leaves in the center blocks and a horizontal zig- zag around the green border sounds like a good idea. I love the idea of swirling leaves too and echo quilting around the appliqued leaves. You ladies are so great! ((hugs))
