Default Latest finish--a crumb quilt

Just thought I would show my latest finish.

I have played with the idea of calling it Where the Wild Things Live.

I wanted to experiment with quilting on it since it was not for anyone, but it was a struggle from start to finish.

And below are a couple of borders...

And the backing was this gorgeous red flannel..

Like I say, it was not for anyone specific...but still a total struggle. This is the first time I have finished quilting a quilt and did not wish I had another one ready to quilt. Quilted on my Juki 98Q....

I don't know what happened...don't know why there are two images of each upload...hope it resolves itself.

You did a fabulous job...really lovely quilting. Did you really just use scraps? Your fabric combos are great

love it....love crumb quilts...I am making a few more now. Hope to post later. I like the way you bordered with the black..looks like the black strips are "uneven" also. Never thought about that.

Judy, for the most part they are scraps...there are scraps from dresses for my granddaughter, pjs for me, aprons for friends, and scraps from other quilting projects. Of course, the black was not scraps, and I bought the backing. I had the fabric already that I used for the binding.

What fun!

I love your "millipede".

Sorry you struggled with the quilting, but it surely did turn out pretty!
