Default Latest Finish "Practice Quilt"

Hi,
I bought this quilt kit on a clearance sale for the sole purpose of practicing my FMQing. I liked the idea of having all the different block spaces to try out fillers etc and it was fun. During the process, my husband got busy and made me a suspension system for getting some of the weight of the quilt off the table to help with managing the bulk. If you quilt with a sit down machine of any kind, this is definitely a life altering set up, IMHO. I cannot take credit for this idea, I saw it first on Leah Day's website and several others since. Mine is made of a repurposed roof rack of our old camper and some 2x4’s. Anyway, I ended up with a finished lap quilt 66x82 that I will gift to a family member. Just thought I'd share 😃.

you quilting is very nice and that's a clever way to take some weight off the table

I have not seen this before, but will show DH, I will see what he comes up this. He made me an 8x8 ft table with machine set it, to make managing quilts more easily. So here is another quest for him... Thanks for sharing with us.

Very pretty quilt and quilting. Neat repurposing of items on hand. Glad he is so inventive.
