Default Latest project and update on DWR

Here is my most recent recent project. It's a 'Proper Cornish Cushion' . Whenever some one does something good we say Proper job! So hence the title of my project. The recipient has a Birthday 5th March which is the Cornish Saint, St Piren's Day, thus the black and white flag.

Following your advice about the Dbl Wedding Ring, I have stuck with the 'soft' look. Thank you all for your opinions. They were much appreciated. I have only done a small amount of block assembly so far but have loads done to join together.

Glad you stuck with the lighter fabrics. I know how you felt about it, my daughter wanted very pale colors for her Irish Chain wedding quilt, and it did bore me to do it, but the quilting did help, and it looks lovely in her light blue bedroom. The next quilt you make should be very bright to break the mood. Nice pillow, too.
