I made this quilt top last weekend. I decided to change the color of our spare bedroom and needed a quilt to go with it. It is a big block queen and went together quickly. The pattern was one that BJ posted from a site that was actually a mystery quilt. She did her's in a baby size. Thanks BJ for the link to the pattern. I'm going to send it to jacquemoe to quilt so that she can practice on her new machine.

Can you imagine doing a tile floor to match your quilt?

Very nice colors, very tight design.

Your quilt turned out very nice. I'm glad to see it turns out just as pretty in the bigger version. Love the colors together.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I really like the pattern and will probably do more of this patten. Most of the blocks were 8.5-9 inch squares before they were put togeter then you kind of worked in sections instead of making blocks that go together. Here is the link to the pattern in case anyone else is interested in it.
http://www.equilters.com/library/mys...st3-part1.html
It has directions for two sizes 84x84 and 38x38.
I think that I'll get enough more fabric to make the smaller quilt for a wall hanging for the bedroom. We changed the color scheme in that room and now I don't have anything for the walls so I think that the smaller quilt will look really sweet hanging above the larger quilt.

Great quilt! I like your idea of making a smaller one to go with. I can't wait to see it quilted..I love looking at other's quilting design choices. I really like the blue & yellow together..it looks very crisp.
