New Stocking made from Antique quilts
I received the coolest gift from a lady at my office! She gave this to me because of my love for quilting. It is a new Christmas Stocking from an Amish store in Pennsylvania that is made with pieces of Antique quilts.
The Certificate of Authenticity attached to it indicates that the presents on this stocking were made from "scraps of quilts circa 1870-1940" Each present is about 2 1/2" square and some of the fabric looks to be feed sack.
On some of the close ups you can actually see the hand stitching on a couple and the signs of wear on one of them. I love the one that is made from little hexagons - probably a grandmother's garden type quilt.
Enjoy.
