Default Learning to do Embroidery on my machine

I have finally learned how to do some embroidery on my machine. I thought I would share a couple pictures of new items I have made. The first is on a wire stand in my home; the second is on my office door at work.

I used to think the same thing and then I got the Viking Ruby this past year and even though I have tons of learning to go because my machine has so many features it is so easy to use. I've only taken a couple of project classes and one out of the box get to know your machine class which really didn't teach me much. My biggest thing is finding the time. There are tons of free designs out there to play with as well.

I had my machine for about three years before I was able to use the embroidery part of it. It wasn't the machine I was having trouble with, it was understanding the software. Last fall a shop helped me understand the software, not the shop I bought it from, and I have been using it a lot now. My husband said it is a good thing we have lots of quilts because I will probably stop making quilts. I think the trick is finding a shop that really knows the machines and software. I wish I had learned the fundamentals sooner.

Before long you will be making quilts that you use the embroidery designs in. Have fun.

did you get the software 4D or 5d with it? I wanted the 5D but can't afford it until my machine is paid down a little so I just have the basic that came with the machine. I want to learn how to edit, etc
