Default Learning EQ7

In trying to keep up with my online fiber art and quilting classes today I finally got in the mood to start learning EQ7.

I've spent the last 5 hours doing the first class getting familiar with the program a bit and following directions on how to create and modify some of these blocks that you will see here.

1) 8-pointed star
2) Martha Washington Star Variation
3) Mosaic Variation
4) Propeller
5) Sister's Choice
6) Snowflake

I use some with 3 x 3 grid, 4 x 4 grid and 5 x 5 grid.

I'm still not fond of traditional quilting, i.e. piecing however it is worth the sacrifice to do this to learn how to use the program so I can design and create my own MOD quilting.

Yes I am known to be a quick study at most anything I decide I want to learn. Still have a long ways to go though with this program.

Yes it is! I spent about five hours late last night learning this.

Once I got started I just could not stop. I had to keep going. I did take a few minutes break in that time though to rest my eyes.

Thank you.

I'm taking the sampler class at Quilt University. The lady walks you through each step. I'm actually behind in the class since there are only 4 classes and we are in the 3rd week of it. I got busy planting my grow boxes in last week or so.

Last night I decided I needed to get busy getting caught up so did lesson one. Tonight I will do lesson two and some time this week probably Monday evening do lesson three and I'll be caught up.

I simply printed all the materials from each lesson plan and misc info she has there and I'm following the lesson plans as she has it written out.

It is pretty much self-explanatory once you read the materials. Just follow the steps that is written down.

The program itself has 22 lessons contained in it which I plan to do as well so hopefully in a few weeks I'll know the program like the back of my hand figuratively speaking.
