The original pattern (Book Block - Winnowing.com) is paper pieced, but I don't really enjoy doing that so much, so the teacup and slanted blocks are paper pieced, but the rest I did out of my head.

What a thoughtful gift! I love it! Now that you have more time, you could make story book quilts for your library.

Awesome! It reminds me of my personal library. Maybe I need to make a library quilt so that the day I downsize my personal library it won't seem as if I did. K

where did you get this pattern? I am unable to find it anywhere. Any help is appreciated as I am a volunteer for our library and we would love to make this to hang up in the building. Thank you!
