Default Braid quilt

I have just started to put this quilt together.
It will have 8 braided panels and a 1" black border at the top and bottom then a 4"border around the entire quilt of the fabric in the far left.
Now the question is: How do I quilt it. I will be using my new long arm.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Janie

Great quilt. I FMQ on my Bernina so my suggestion may be WAY out there! Do you have any pantos? I like the look of them but *sigh* can not do them on my machine.

I think I will use a leaf pantho in the beige borders, but I am at a loss for the braids.
Thanks,
Janie

That is beautiful! I love the colors! Are you up to feathers? They would look great going up the center of the braid on a wavy spine.

I thought about feathers, that may be the solution.

I was thinking feathers up one braid and down the other and so forth.

That is beautiful.. I don't have a long arm, so can't help you there, but whatever you do, I'm sure it will be a knockout!
