Default Little Anna was so disappointed

She had her heart set on a baby sister. When we left the ultrasound room, she burst into tears! Grammy stepped in and suggested that we could make a quilt for her new brother. Working together, we talked about all the ways that she can be a help to her Mama and how much she will love this little boy. She has worked diligently (with a lot of guidance/help) and the quilt and the big sister are ready to welcome her brother when he is born at Christmas time.

You handled that beautifully! Her brother will treasure the quilt and she will treasure your time making it!

What a great grandma you are .... knowing just what to say to turn a disappointed DGD into a smiling one. Very nicely done, too.

You are such a good grandma! And I'm sure Anna learned a lot about sewing and a lot about love by working with you - two of the most important things in life!!
