Thank you for the nice comments. The pattern, County Pouch by Kimie Leavitt, is from 1997 and doesn't seem to be available any more on the net.

I made one more (probably my last) for my daughter's birthday money next week, with scraps from a recent batiks quilt. She loves anything green.
