The quilt is wonderful. I love the yellow center.

Have you ever tried a pin tuck foot for the small piping. There are other feet that work too. Look for a small groove under your feet and try those

Beautiful! Thanks for the heads up on the piping. Something I would have trouble with.

Your friend should be very pleased with this beautiful quilt. I love the yellow vs the normal red center. It is bright and happy. Haven’t tried the faux piping and may not. You did a great job and couldn’t be more perfect for a rustic home.

I love the colors and the way you used the plaid fabrics. It is very pretty.

Since this was only supposed to be a faux piping, I just used my regular foot. I believed that I mentioned that if I ever decided to add real piping, that I would use an old invisible zipper foot which has the grove. Trying to get by here, and have to improvise much since I don't have funds to purchase all of the feet available for a H/Q. I have actually used some of the feet from my old and reliable Kenmore on Husky. Amazing! A new darning foot was 76.00 for H/Q, but the one I used on my Kenmore was 12.50. They are interchangable. Did I spend the money for the new H/Q foot? Absolutely NOT.

Even though the yellow center is not traditional for a Log Cabin, I believe I was lacking in some reds when I started this.

Well, thank you! I know that Joyce will love it. She's just as crazy as I am.
