    I would go with the lighter color border then a red one in a larger strip.. its very pretty. I have yet to do a log cabin.. did you find it hard? I love your colors. Thanks for showing this one off!

    It wasn't as hard as you may think. Just need to pay attention to the placement of light/dark strips. My first attempt had them going the wrong direction and I had to start over. (Luckily only had three strips done on 4 blocks. If you do them with the running stitching (one right after the other) it goes pretty fast.

    I have always loved the black and white log cabins. Yours is very nice. My favorites I have seen at quilt shows are the borders made with a vining applique around them. It reminds me of the homes of long ago with the vines climbing them and breaks up the linear/ridgid feel a log cabin has to it.
