Lonestar Log Cabin finished for my Brother
This is a huge quilt I made for my dear brother. One of the ladies on the quilting board helped me find the pattern. It measures 98" by 118" - so big that I couldn't turn it to do the borders on my quilting frame. I wanted to do some fancy stitching in the centre cream areas, but had to quilt it edge-to-edge. I think it turned out pretty nice anyway. I called it "Honouring our Ancestors". We are half Native Indian and the eight pointed star is the symbol of the Mic-Mac people. My mother's side were pioneers - hence the log cabin blocks. I sure hope he likes it!!

What a wonderful tribute to your ancestory! This quilt is stunning! And if your DB doesn't fall head-over-heels in love with it, I know a certain girl named Rebecca who would be happy to give it a good home... LOL! Great job on this beauty!
