I'm just glad she didn't look too closely at the quilt. It's my first applique. But like I said, I had a blast making the spiders! I kept playing with their hair. I even contemplated getting a little Barbie doll hair brush! ROFL

I'm waiting to see who the kids punk with one of the gummy eyeballs!

Anyhow, Happy Halloween Joey and Lily!

Hey, Lily's got one of those (of course, she's a five year old girl!) I'll get her on coiffeuse duty! :D

Ah how sweet is Gai to send over a surprise for you all. I bet the children were really excited.
Love the wall hanging too, I tried to screw my eyes up Kathryn to see if I could get a better picture of the bat quilting!!! LOL my eyes are obviously older than I thought.
Is Halloween celebrated in France? I don't remember it being so when I lived on the German/Dutch border. However its becoming more & more popular over here.
BTW I think that spider is wicked

Hi Tisha - I used the macro on the quilting so I don't think I can get it any better but it's really cool!

There's no trick or treating here or anything like that but there is some Hallowe'en themed stuff in the shops. It's more general autumnal though, like pumpkins and such rather than the spooky stuff. Hans says in Holland it's hardly recognised either. :D

In the photo of the quilt you can see one of the bats in the top left corner. Kinda. I think that quilting shows up best in photos when it's taken at an oblique angle.

Thank you for your kind words!
