ok so I went to JoAnn's checked bargain table found keepsake calico 100% cotton $3 yd bought 2yards 6 different fabric and found a pretty striped umbrella fabric - outdoor - to make cushions for outdoor chairs for $4 usually at least $12..then I went home and made me a sewing table...I have got to quilt my moms quilt whiich is 73 by 56 before binding but I am going to just turn the border over to the back so it won;t be anybigger but I just couldn't do it with out a machine extension so here are my pictures

my machine extension table I made mysef 30 x 36 in plywood covered with contact paper for now

Wow! Love the material. Nice job making the worktop. You will miss that beautiful space when you give it up to move to a different worktop. If you don't have to tug it around just keep it there forever.
What country do you go to next?

Love the simple idea for a machine extension table - that's the next thing I need, and your version makes me think it's do-able! Thanks for sharing!
